View Full Version : T-Mobile E-mail GPRS hangs up....
Everytime I connect to check e-mail via T-Mobile GPRS I get disconnected as soon as it finishes sending/receiving. Does anyone know of a way to set the Inbox to keep the connection alive?
Thanks.
RDC
P.S. The Pocket PC Phone is incredible.

It never worked for the purpose of messenger, But it keeps your gprs connection on all the time.
Even if the screen shuts down.

Since my last posting I've figured out what the H*ll I was doing wrong. It was typical Newbie ignorance. Thanks.

How about posting what you were doing wrong so in case someone else needing the info can read it on here. I was just passing by on here and I think it maybe useful to post it for future references.

OK, here's what I was doing. While in the "Inbox", to check my mail I would only press the send and receive button on the bottom task bar, which looks like 2 postal letters, one overlapping the other. This would connect, send/receive, and then disconnect. I couldn't understand why my PPC wouldn't stay online. But after some exploring I discovered....
If you press the button next to it...the one that looks like a hand holding a PPC...it connects, sends/receives, and then stays online.
If you go to "Services" on the taskbar, press "Connect", you connect, but no sending/receiving is done and you stay online.
These are things I should have toyed with before submitting a "please help me" post.
I hope this helps someone.
