Hi everyone. Obviously this is my first post on the PocketPCThoughts forums. I post his query in the hopes that your opinions, thoughts and general observation can help me out:

I have had a PDA of one sort for almost 6 years. Starting with the old Newton 2100 (w/ keyboard), 8O then the old Palm Pro (even then i didnt think they were powerful enough) then to the Philip Velo and Nino  and then the old Compaq Aero 2180 with the Pocket PC upgrade. The old Aero had an unfortunate accident with a door frame that left me PDA-less for almost 6 months. That was until a month ago when i saw a HP Jornada 548 being cleared out of a local Office Depot for $300 Can. I snapped it up immediately. But since my old Comapq Aero had a CF II slot and my newer Jornada only has a CF I slot some of my accessories have sat idle:
They are: an IBM 340 MB microdrive
a Pretec 56K CFII modem
a Compaq air/car charger (for use in cig lighters in vehicles)

My question to the board is what should i do. Should i try to make a trade for something that will actually work in my Jornada 548? i was thinking of trading for a 256MB CFI card, a CFI modem and a Jornada car charger. But i know there are other options out there. So can any one help?

merk1821,

Take a look at CF Pocket by Atek:

http://www.atek.com/accessories/cfpocket.htm

Now you can keep those accessories!

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I have looked into the CF Adapter from Atek but with the exchange rate, duties and taxes to get an adapter up here to Canada, it would be fairly expensive. I did pick up an car adaptor for the Jornada so that issues is taken care of.

With regards to the CF modem and Microdrive i was thinking of a trade for simalr units that would be able to fit into the Jornada's CF I slot. Please weigh in with your thoughts and opinions. Thanks
