IPAQ 3955 VERSION ~ HELP!!

When I soft reset my IpaQ, right at the begining the first screen that comes on, at the bottom of the screen this number appears. I'm guessing it's the version i'm running ??? right?????

My says 1.00 is this right??? I read others have 2.00 version..... Can someone help me????

Yes, the number on the lower right corner when you soft-reset is the ROM version number.

My 3970 shows 2.00. Not sure what version 3955 has.

Are you sure it's only 1.0? My 3835 is 1.15.

I don't have a 39xx unit, but I wouldn't stress about it. The ROM versioning has been restarted at 1(-ish) between each major iPaq release. Moreso, the Bluetooth has been +1 over the non-Bluetooth, e.g., in the 3870 the initial version was 2.15, compared to 1.15 on the 3835. It makes perfect sense that the 3950 would have 1.0 and the 3970 2.0 in that light. :)

BigDaddyJ has got it exactly right. 3955 is Rom 1.0 and 3970 is Rom 2.0

My 3955 is 1.0 also.
