Hi all, I've read about the new EEUU2 update that HP released for the Jornada 560 Series.
I downloaded it from the site's link... but when I try to install it, it says the firmware is not upated, I installed HP's firmware 1.0 when I applied the EEUU1 update... and if I try to re-install the 1.0 or 1.1 (from HP) it says my device does not apply for the update and quits.
Anybody has any info on this? I really like to update with EEUU2 sinche I've experienced some of the problems it "solves"
Thanks in advance

Do you have the 564 or 567? Those were the non-retail versions available via the web only... I think HP treated them differently and packaged similar but different updates for them.

I think HP treated them differently and packaged similar but different updates for them.
That's absolutely correct. The 568 should use the "retail" version of the update. The retail version should end with RTL (or have it somewhere in the name).
Anyways, when you go to the HP support site (downloads), it will ask you for your specific model number. When you put it in, it will bring you to the appropriate download page.

yes but the EEUU2 update is not in neither the 568 or 567 pages, it's on a different link

You can find the different pages by searching for "jornada 568" or "jornada 567". I have the 567 and have been waiting for the update to appear.
You can find the updates for the 567 here:
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/hpjornada563931_swen.html
(This includes all firmware and software updates, not just the update for Pocket PC 2002)
The updates for the 568 are here:

It finally finished... it takes forever
But it worked... and confirming some other posts... the Unit seems... more responsive and fast
I went to Settings and began restoring Password, Owner Info, and Power Settings, and everything was very snappy

Well, I've installed the "update" As recommended somewhere else, since WMP 8 is now in ROM, I uninstalled the update version and the used a registry editor to re-associate the files. Now, however, my audio does not work on some asf files, such as Classic TV from Mazingo. Any ideas?
Paul
p.s. I've reinstalled the WMP update but still no sound on some files. (and yes, I do have it checked to play unsupported audio and video files)

Well, I finally just did a hard reset and that seems to have fixed the problems. We'll see.
