i've already seen one audiovox maestro (toshiba) update on audiovox's site. i've been reluctant to install it, considering i don't think that i need any of those improvements. does anybody think it's worth updating my maestro?

also, are there any new updates possibly coming out? any speculation? thanks.

Why would you not want to upgrade it? it will help not hurt, soeven if you dont need it all now you may atsome time in the future. So then wouldnt it be wise to be prepared and already have on your PPC what you will need at a future date?

FoldedSpace, if that is your site...why do you have the Compaq EUU2 lised as for the Maestro??

No...it's not my site...it's Covert's. The patch in question, however, is a Microsoft PPC2002 patch...Compaq is just better about releasing them than Audiovox is. :)

just wondering, what does the second service pack do?

I think Compaq lists the benefits of the new patch...but the biggest one is an FTP fix.

I would be VERY careful about installing the sound pop fix. A lot of people have installed if cleanly. However, there are some of us that it corrupted the whole PDA. My unit will not even boot now. Audiovox even posted the patch on their web site. They have since removed it.

If audiovox removed it then you might want to hold off on that patch. YOu can always email them and ask them why they removed it from their site as a patch. You can also let them know the info you have on some pda's becoming corrupted due to that patch and then find out what feed back they are able to give you on that patch. Then let us know:) :)

The Maestro patch is still up on their website. I have just downloaded and installed it. I find it great. The popping on my system has completely stopped and the speakers sounds cleaner. Audio plays a lot better too.

Anyone tried the Maestro patch on a e570?
I´m unable to find any Toshiba patch/update except SP1.
