Our keen webmaster, Chris Edwards, has done a bit of template tweaking and I can confirm that the forums will look nice at 800 x 600, no horizontal scrolling, and they appear to scale down decently at 640 x 480 (although I can't confirm that - I have nothing that goes that low). So, Jeff Kirvin, get off my back. <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif" />

You know, that browser window of yours is resizable. You can move the boundaries so that they're closer to a 640x480 dimension... thus simulating a full screen browser window on a 640x480 screen resolution.
Frankly I keep my browser windows at 640x480 dimensions even though my screen resolution is much higher. That way I can browse more than one website at the same time. Much more efficient than a wasted full-screen browser window. Also great for people that use search engines and want to see resulting links without abandoning the results list.

Did you mean for that to sound to as condescending as it does? :?
I know that it's resizable, which is why I said it "appears" to work at 640 x 480. I resized the window to what I figured was close to 640 x 480 and it worked nicely on the message windows. I have an app that resizes the window to exact resolutions, but it doesn't appear to be compatible with XP, so I can only estimate. :D

Well, finally it shows up nicely on my PC. I really hated having to scroll to the right just to get to the Go button.
Anyway, is there a way to make this more Pocket Internet Explorer friendly? It has a tendency to jump around the screen too much.

Look at the discussion thread started on Friday... :-)

Try this:
Resize window to 640 x 480 in IE (javascript:resizeTo(640,480))

Slick! I knew there was a way to do it with code, but I didn't have time to look it up. Thanks!

And in case anyone is mad that their window shrunk :) :
Resize window to 640 x 480 in IE (javascript:resizeTo(640,460))
Resize window to 800 x 600 in IE (javascript:resizeTo(800,600))
Resize window to 1024 x 764 in IE (javascript:resizeTo(1024,764))
Resize window to 1280 x 1024 in IE (javascript:resizeTo(1280,1024))

Thanks guys! That horizontal scrolling was getting to be a pain, I just had not gotten around to asking about it yet. Thanks again. :D

Eureka! I can see again!
Nice job guys! :D On my main computer I wasn't having any trouble (my resolution is 1280x1024), but on my older computer it sure was a pain to use those scroll bars all the time. Thanks!
