Hi:

Is the price for the 3950 $699 ? The MSRP listed in HP-Compaq's web site for the 3950 is $649. There is a note on your web post:
Price based on Compaq/HP price on 6/17 and subject to change.

Please advise.

$699 is pretty steep for a non-BT device. My distributor has them for $622.

EDIT:
I just checked ecost.com and they have them for $623.

We have som on order directly from Compaq which will be a lower price but they're now telling us we won't have them for about another 1-2 weeks. We obtained these from an alternate distributor who charges us more.

Our prices are based on what it costs us for the unit being shipped.

I ordered one from DataAnywhere ($679-$20 less than Dreampages, $20 over retail price) and will be receiving it on Friday. They apparently got a small (10 unit) shipment in today.

It's a FEATURE not a BUG.... is the new PPC mantra for the month.

While a transflective screen would be very nice HP, as usual, is charging WAY TO MUCH for their hardware. I really hope some hardware innovation is in he works for the other PPC manufacturers as the Xscale is a bomb (so far..) and MS isn't going to do anything about it (so far...). Some innovative case design (like the NR-70, e310, etc.) would have me looking to trade in my 'old' 206 MHz PPC.
