<a href="http://www.crownlogic.com/products/project/">http://www.crownlogic.com/products/project/</a><br /><br />Crown Logic is about to get CLC Project, a new project management application for Pocket PC, into final beta stages. CLC Project will integrate with Microsoft Project according to Crown Logic. They are currently <a href="http://www.crownlogic.com/support/beta/beta.htm">looking for beta testers</a>. (Thanks to Chris Forsberg for the link!)<br /><br />"You can manage your entire project from within CLC Project at client sites, in project meetings, or any remote location. If you use Microsoft Project you can also update your schedules, resources, and charts between CLC Project and Microsoft Project. CLC Project extends Microsoft Project schedules from your desktop PC to your Pocket PC. It operates in much the same way as Microsoft Project so there is little to learn."

I opened a topic on the need for a decent project management app a few months ago on these forums but didn't get an overwhelming response.

Very welcome to see somebody coming to the party as I believe that this will be a very important app which is a big hole in the PPC app lineup.

Systems management may be important but I believe that in most companies I have come across the PMs practially hold the budget. Giving two way project planning has got to be a great way to gain greater acceptance in the corporate world.

Well done CLC. Let us see what the beta holds.

Have you tried cyWren's products for Project Management on the PocketPC?

Have you tried cyWren's products for Project Management on the PocketPC?

Looked at it but I may want to change the plan during a meeting, change resourcing and then have these reflected in my MS project plan when I sync.

I previously used a Psion and Plan5 (www.twiddlebit.com) and have actually created plans on the Psion prior to them ever seeing MS Project. That is the type of functionality I want. The cyWren products didn't fit this requirement.

You might want to read Andy's review at http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/reviews/mobilepm.asp

Chris,

I forgot about this review, not bad.

Obviously, it doesn't reflect the new changes that were added since that review.

The latest version supports a host of new features over the reviewed version. One which I actively (along with others I would assume) pursued was indenting of sub-tasks, makes it so much easier to read on the PocketPC now.

If you haven't looked at their products lately, you should. http://www.cywren.com/

I applied to be a Beta Tester for Crown Logic's product and hope that I will get accepted so I can see what they have to offer. I am always looking for a better product, especially in the PocketPC PM field.

I still have a problem, though, with a company that charges as much as Crown Logic does for their apps without any kind of demo available. That's the only reason I haven't used their Journal software; I won't buy it unless I can try it.
