http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/files/iamcanadian.mpg

Today is Canada Day, so allow me to link to a video that has always made me laugh and feel patriotic at the same time. It's funny, but as a people Canadians aren't terribly patriotic - the rallying point for an increase in our sense of patriotism a few years ago was a beer commercial. Makes us different eh?

Canadians have invented a lot of interesting things (including basketball). And only a Canadian could come up with Bubba. I once received a list of the Top 100 reasons why it's great to be Canadian, but I couldn't seem to locate it locally or on the 'Net. My fellow Canadians, feel free to respond to this posting with any lists you might have.

And remember, don't make fun of a Canadian and his beaver - or else

I'm not Canadian, but I grew up in Oregon...the Beaver State. It's amazing how many dissillusioned Californians I went to college with! :D
Happy Canada Day!!!

Thanks for the link to the "Joe" ad Jason - heh, always gets me a little misty :-) Even if you're not a fan of Molson's beer, you sure have to appreciate their ads!
Oh, and Happy Canada Day to all you hosers out there!

Well, I'm not sure I understand the bit about the Beaver (they live way down here, too) but you guys have been really good neighbors - polite, but you aren't always dropping in to borrow stuff.
Thanks for Rush, the beer, and some really great hockey teams.
Oh yeah, sorry about that whole Dudley Doright thing. It was probably pretty insensitive of us.
Happy Canada Day.
By the way, if you hear a lot of noise down here on Thursday, don't worry. We'll try not to keep you guys awake too late.
:D

So,like, Oregon's not a province? Is it like a protectorate or something?
Happy Canada Day for all those Canadians out there!
I found some Candian songs on this site people may be interested in:

Did I not read somewhere that they are going to change the date for Canada Day next year, It might have been on Fark.com

Oh well happy Canada Day I extremely doubt it.
July 1st was when Canada was founded. How could they change it?

Happy Canada Day!
I used to name myself JackyTheCanadianBeaver, just to show others how proud I am of my country. :D
I got rid of the "Canadian" in the name because it was too long. :(

I was suprised at all the inventions that came from Canadians. I had thought many of them were from Americans. It just shows how narrow minded some of us are.
One thing though, Reginald A. Fessenden may have invented some form of the TV but, the person how invented the "father" of the current TV is Philo T. Farnsworth.
Very good link!

What's Canada???
By the way, while I'm grateful for all that Canada's contributed to society, I have to say there's one thing I'm not to happy about: Canadian Geese. At my old school, we were practically infested with them. You literally couldn't walk ten feet on the field without stepping in one of their "droppings."
HAPPY CANADA DAY!!
and
HAPPY JULY 4th!!
