Check out this interview.

PDA Avenue: Why do you think people want to write in their own handwriting? Isn't typing easier?

Leonid Kitainik: Handwriting is a natural form of communication that has been used for centuries. While most people now use the keyboard for much of their communication, the majority still take notes in meetings in their own handwriting, continue to make many of their to-do lists in handwriting and make quick notes and outlines with a traditional pen and paper. It is important to realize that the natural expression of creative and conceptual thinking is not just text, but a mix of drawings, charts and text, which is much easier to quickly produce in handwriting. Mobility is another important aspect, which plays in favor of handwritten input. While there are many thumb-typists (especially teens), adapting to tiny snap-on keyboards, we think that handwritten input, combined with advanced notes processing and recognition, can substantially boost mobile productivity. At Pen&Internet, we believe that improved device screen quality and the arrival of new generations of wireless pen capturing devices, such as intelligent pens and paper, will help spur the growth and future for electronic ink handwriting software.
