It seems that Conduits took customer feedback to heart, and version 1.6 offers two changes that will make users cheer:

• Improved rendering engine (up to 10x faster)
• Predictive memory allocation engine

10x speed increase? Awesome! Upgrades to 1.6 are free for all 1.x registered users. You can use the Handango link above to purchase the software (affiliate link) then download the 1.6 upgrade.

It's been my constant that Conduits and Pocket Slides is one of the most amazing little apps out there for the Pocket PC. Jason and his team have done a superb job on the app, and this new version really does fly. What a difference. It almost makes me want to buy a Margi card...

This version simply does fly. The earlier versions took some time to open large files but this version smokes.

I don't know why Thoughts always pormote Pocket Slides so strongly.

Any one in the field of mobile presentation business should have done some testing with various products do PowerPoint presentation for Pocket PC. With a structurely produced PowerPoint testing file as the test data (this is the standard way for software testing and benchmarking) to feed into various PowerPoint slideshow applications, you will find Pocket Slides isn't only weak in the performance area!

I don't know why Thoughts always pormote Pocket Slides so strongly.

It was one of the first, and in my opinion, the most powerful solution out there. The rendering speed was a big problem in my opinion, and I'm happy they addressed it. I'm not completely happy with the quality of the text it generates - it looks quite block in some cases - but Conduits has heard my concerns.

If you're willing to write a detailed comparison review of all the PowerPoint solutions on the market, I'm certainly willing to publish it.
