'lo folks. I'm planning to buy an E-200 with a PCMCIA-addon. Since PCMCIA NICs are WAY cheaper than CF NICs, I'm wondering which ones will work with the E-200.

I _think_ I read something about PPC2002 having native NE2000-support, could someone verify this?

Basically, what I'm looking for is a cheap(ish) dongle-less TypeII PCMCIA NIC that works with the E-200. Any tips?

Yes - if the card has NE2000 support, it should work. But without the packaging saying it works, it's tough to say.

You'll have to forgive me for this horribly cheap plug  but I'm selling a few CF NICs on ebay:

Might want to check them out?

Two slight problems though - I'll be using the CF slot for memory, and we're on different sides of the Atlantic Ocean (hence the shipping will prolly cost as much as the card)

But thanks for the help, I'll go hunting for an NE2000-PCMCIA NIC :)

Does the box actually says NE2000 compatible? I know for a fact that Hayes compatible modems indicate that they are on the box. I'm just curious cause I still haven't started looking into this.

Wish there would be a generic wifi driver also :(
