Is your MP3 song in VBR format? The Windows Media Player has a problem with VBR format files. You can try transcoding it to WMA format:

Pardon me , what is VBR format? All I can see is mp3 extension and thats all. How can I tell it is VBR format?

WMA format, it is the wav format? Wav format is too big for py pocket PC I cannot affort it. If not do you mind to tell me how to convert to WMA?

Thanks.

VBR stands for "Variable Bit Rate". If you're playing back the MP3 with Winamp, look at the bitrate - if it jumps up and down (changes), that's VBR file.

I strongly urge you to read these digital audio primer articles:

http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/stepbystep/audio.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/stepbystep/makewav.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/stepbystep/convert.asp

If you want to rip WMA files, you can do it with Windows Media Player on your desktop PC. Here are some links to get you started:
