Doesn't work in Canada, but I faked my info and poked around. The phones look decent (nothing too fancy though - don't go in expecting a Bluetooth phone!). This is a good option for adding that "extra" cell phone to the family: wife, kids, super-smart dog. If you want to take advantage of it and support the site, cool. If not, no worries. <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif" />

Most cell/mobile phone carriers give you a basic phone for free when you sign up for a contract. Is this any different? I can see that the phones they have are free when you get a 2 or 3 year contract.

Jason, not sure this is that great a site. They don't mention who the provider is at all (although looking at the phones it appears to be Sprint PCS), and there's no link to coverage maps or any such thing.

My 2 cents.

Hi - I'm the guy that told Jason about this deal. It's made some very good money for some friends of mine. The company running it is good to their affiliates and very trustworthy.

The current carrier is SprintPCS and soon the will be adding more carriers to the plan. I believe Sun and VoiceStream will be added as well as AT&T.

Like J says - basic service good for the kids or the wife etc. :)

And we always trust self-admitted spammers.... I'm now wondering what kind of cookies this site dropped on my machine and whether my E-mail address was harvested.

No, I didn't give them my E-mail address. And my browser is not configured with my E-mail address as my anonymous FTP login. But you never know....

It seem to work if I click "Quote" from the topic view, but let just try a 'quote' (ATL+Q) in the reply windows I'm right now!

hehe - yeah - I can see how my nick does not inspire confidence :)

I am a search engine spammer NOT an email spammer - I give you my word. I promote many products online and it's all done through search engines. I hate spam in my inbox as much as the next guy. For that reason I am very careful about the programs I choose to promote. I will not promote a company with out a decent privacy statement and a NO SPAM EMAIL policy.

You can believe me or not but it is the truth - take it for what it's worth.

As long as you don't skew the results so people get irrelevant links (or porn links), or only go to pay-for-placement sites, that's fine.

People who create fake sites with links to their client sites to trick Google (and other such tricks) are just one step above E-mail spammers. They don't clog my In box, but they do ruin search results.

The question is -- is this free cell phone site one of your clients? If so, did you let Jason know that?

I hear ya. I am straight up with what I do - no misdirection at all. For me spam simply means hundreds of pages and websites selling my stuff or my client's stuff - no fake sites - all real sites with real products. All legit and all "what you see is what you get" with no under handed redirections at all.

I don't do porn or online gaming for moral reasons. I'd hate to ever find out that some dude was wrecking his marriage or betting his family on one of my sites.

Jason knows exactly what my deal with the cell folks is. J and I have been acquainted for several years and trust each other implicitly.

I think your board name has scared some people..... Spammer?
