pocket pc 2002/ windows ce

Is software written for Windows ce able to run on pc 2002? Are they the same software or backwards compatible? Can you tell i'm a newbie?

Yes, most will - but the user interface might be odd. For instance, if the software was written for an HPC with a bigger screen, when you install it on the Pocket PC it might display funny. It's sort of like taking a Windows 3.1 program and installing it under XP - it might work, it might not.

The "good news" here is that there's far more Pocket PC software out now than generic "Windows CE" software.
