Can you synch to Outlook* 97 with Pocket PC* 2002?

My corporate laptop is supplied with Outlook* 97 (Office* 97 Suite) and I cannot change that version of Outlook*. Can you still use Pocket Pc* (2002 or else) and synch to that old version of Outlook*?
