Committed to creating new revenue by improving the level of services available to customers, Microsoft is working with handset manufacturers to accelerate the availability of Windows Powered Pocket PC Phone Edition and Smartphones that provide cutting-edge functionalities. Handheld devices from Hewlett-Packard Co., Sendo Ltd., Compal Communications and ETENInformation Systems will be on display at the Microsoft booth, and demonstrations will show how these devices will provide customers with the best access to a wide range of rich applications, personal and business information, and XML Web services.
Realizing the potential of "smart" devices in delivering rich data services, Microsoft will work with network service providers to nurture a developer community and encourage the creation of wireless applications targeting both consumers and corporate users.
