PPC winamp and shoutcast

now i would love to see a pcoketpc version of Winamp, simply because of "Shoutcast". with winamp on my ppc streaming music with a shoutcast stream via 802.11 card. now that would rock! Almost cd quality music 24/7 on my ppc!

Yeah, I think Winamp for PPC would be very cool... mostly because I would love to see some cool visualizations while listening to my mp3s... but as for the shoutcast thing, can't you play the mp3 streams through WMP? :

Zero, there have been a lot of complaints lately about Shoutcast streams not working with WMP.

You could always stream it to your desktop and then use encoder to push it to your PPC (...shameless plug for my tutorial :wink: ). You can use IRemote to control WinAMP from your PPC. It is really a roundabout solution, WinAMP for PPC would be much simpler, but it does work.

Right now, Nullsoft doesn't make any money (for the most part) off of WinAMP. If they made a Pocket PC version, they could easily sell it for $5 a copy. I usually am stingy when it comes to buying software, but I would totally go for that.
