Ok, I give up. Just what does the Autorun applet on the 3850 do? :x

I think it let your pocket PC switch ON automatically on specific tasks such as alarms.

I have not tried to switch it off but I assume that it to allow your Ipaq to switch on in the morning while you have set your alarm to whatever time you want to wake up.

It relates to application installation from a CF card. Even though software distribution/installation from a CF card isn't used very often, with autorun selected, when the installation CF is inserted, it will automatically begin the installation.

Actually, the only app I've ever installed this way was for my Pocket Spider wireless modem.

The Pocket PC Fun Expansion Pack (Given away with Pocket PC 2000 devices: The one with PAC Man, etc.) was an autoinstall CF card...

That was a long time ago huh???
