I cannot tell if it is shipping or if these are preorders only. This is an affiliate link but I am not sure if that works with the German site or not.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/loox_small.jpg" /><br /><br />Note, do not try to order this unless you want the German ROM. You will not be able to get an English or any other language ROM from this site. We'll just have to wait. :-(

I wonder who will be the first to market with X-Scale? Thought the Loox was going to be but with other announcements Loox like maybe not! :roll:

Right, it ships "as soon as it is available". For marketing / warranty reasons they will also only ship to Germany and Austria.

BTW, further down they state that it indeed does run faster than previuos models (see thread about Toshiba XScale). Or at least that's how I read the marketing drivel.

the Loox will not be shipped before july and the SRP is 699€

Head to www.firstloox.org and scroll down to 6 May on the News page - full details are given along with links that will take you to a 'Gisted' translation, into english, of the order page and also the page telling you about the €50 online voucher.

BTW - my site gives links to two other German sites that are offering pre-purchase of the Loox - including one giving prices for the battery and GPRS modules.

Shipping of the Loox is absolutely, definitely confirmed to be late July.

And keep in mind, that all retail prices in Germany are listed with 16% Value Added Tax included.

I have it on good authority that the Loox will be released in the US in June, I do not though as of right now have pricing.

It will be X-Scale, Intel apparently just completed fixing the problem.

Personally, I think this may become the hottest thing on the Pocket PC market.
