Hi,

I just got a new 565 for $300 is that a good deal?
What are some must haves for the 565? I am switching from a Clie 710.
I read something about a hack that closes programs?
Also what's a good web browser and a good wireless CF card?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, $300 is a pretty good deal. However, you will notice more price drops on the 560 series units now that HP is dropping the line.

I consider Pocket Informant to be a "must have" for organization.

I don't know if a "hack" that closes programs, but HP does include HP Task Switcher that switches and closes tasks. There are others, like WIS Bar, that do, too.

I do like the included Pocket Internet Explorer, but there is a new one called ThunderHawk that compresses the content so that a 640x480 web page can be clearly viewed on a 320x240 PDA screen. It utilizes a proxy server that converts some of the HTML code which requires an annual subscription (~$19.95 I think). Neither really support Java, Flash, etc. on their own.

The best wireless (WiFi/802.11b) CF card I hear is made by Symbol, but they're a little high in price for me to buy one.
