<a href="http://www.entrek.com/">http://www.entrek.com/</a><br /><br />I have been testing Entrek Software's new product, the Entrek TOOLBOX Windows CE Edition version 1.2, for a while. I simply LOVE this product! The TOOLBOX contains of two applications running on the desktop PC: CodeSnitch and Procman. The applications connect to the emulator or the physical device over an ActiveSync connection.<br /><br />CodeSnitch provides a very detailed view of what's really going on in the Pocket PC while your application runs. This is great for debugging and testing. The tools catches memory and resource leaks, heap corruption, invalid parameters passed to APIs, and API failures.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/entrek1.gif" /><br /><br />The other application, Procman, keeps track of every loaded process, thread, window and module. You can even work with these objects from Procman: send messages to windows, change priority on threads and so on.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/entrek2.gif" /><br /><br />The $495 price tag for a single user license is not even a full day's consultancy fee. Since this tool enables developers to fix problems much faster it's an investment not very difficult to justify. My final verdict: excellent!

That's a bit dear for software like this. I think I'll wait for the "lite (aka cheaper)" version to come out.

Wow, that's almost how much I paid for my PPC in the first place.

But $500 is cheap for a company developing and selling lots of applications.

I've just downloaded the eval version of enterk tools to try them out.

I have an XP machine and a HP2210 PDA

I load code snitch, can connect to the device. I then do File, Run broswse to the exe and click Go! but thennit all locks up ?

I've emailed Tech Support but as yet no response

Is anyone on here using codesnitch that could give me some clue as to why it's not working ?

Thanks

Andrew
