I'm confused. I've done my research. I've tried to look at what I can and cannot buy for my SS2 slider. I have a 1Gig Microdrive that is a CF Type II card, it's supposed to work with my 3850. Ok, so what about CF cards? I've done research. I've looked on the Web. Different vendors sell different sized cards (in terms of capacity) but very few of them say which CF cards are compatible with which devices.

Can anyone shed some light on the subject?

For example, I was looking at VikingMedia's cards, are they, and if so, which ones are, compatible with the 3850?

LexarMedia? same question. Lexar's site shows compatibility with cameras but not PDAs.

Any insights would be very appreciated.

All of them should work. I used preaty cheap cards with my 3630 and they all worked fine. Don't worry. It will work. My friend had silver slider 1 and some cheap card -> it worked in his ipaq but not in his digital camera. Silver Slider and ipaq seem to have preaty good hardware and software drivers.
