http://www.maximumsoft.com/

Cage sent us a message about the release of a new Pocket PC version of WebCopier "a powerful offline browser that records websites and stores them locally until you are ready to view them". It is not an automated route, like with Avantgo, but a desktop application that can save a website as a project, and a viewer for the project on your Pocket PC. It sounds like a good solution for static content.

I was all excited to try this out, but $35.00. Forget it. I do believe that is one of the highest prices thus far. Unless you count 75.00 to sync to LotusNotes...

Yeah, $35 for an application that would, for the most part, replace the "Save As" function in IE? hm...

Ouch! I agree. I was just getting ready to download it to give it a try, but I wouldn't pay that much no matter how good it is. The thing it does would be handy, but it just isn't worth that kind of money (especially given the exchange rate for $NZ). :(

I think, all we need is a PocketIE that can read *.mht files. SAve it with your Desktop IE and view it on your PocketPC.

Bill ? Hear me !? :-)
