For Sale: Casio EM-500. Great condition, barely used. Non-working, LCD screen is cracked. Other than that, perfect. Heh.
Purchase for parts only! Unless you know where I can get a screen and touch panel for it, please let me know! Casio wants $254 to fix the screen.
Email me if interested, make an offer.

For those of you as unfortunate as I - my trusty EM-500 suffered concrete poisoning...
If the LCD is still intact (i.e. you see a good image when turned on) and only the touch screen is shattered, you might have a hope...
You can order a replacement touch screen for under $40.00 delivered... Call 800-272-0272... (on back order today, but more expected in a few weeks!)
Now - anyone have any hints (or links) to an instruction set to disassemble/reassemble the unit???

Conversely, if your backlight still works how much are you asking for the unit?
My backlight was shattered. The TFT and touchscreen are fine.

Backlight works fine last time I turned it on. LCD panel and touchscreen are cracked and inoperative however! I'll sell it for $50, plus shipping.

I am in Calgary, AB - lets figure out what shipping would cost.

Sounds good...it's late Monday night, but I will check back in with you sometime Tuesday, driving back from New York City. First trip there *ever* this past weekend, what a blast!
However, I wish I had WiFi capabilities, I still haven't gotten an 802.11b card for the Maestro! Pocket Streets 2001 and the NYC map alone were worth the investment in my PPC, what a time saver!
