Pocket PC 2002 ?????

I was going to buy an Ipaq 3635 off someone... and was doing some research... somebody at bestbuy told me that if I am running office XP and windows XP that I need pocket pc 2002. I have read all over the net for confirmation and can't find it anywhere. Does a pocket PC 2000 <--> windows XP compatability problem exist or was this guy cracked out?
I just want to sync my outlook XP with PPC 2000. Thanks

The guy was incorrect - you can use 2000 no problem with XP, just get ActiveSync off the web site for the newest version.

One thing to mention is that you cannot use ActiveSync version 3.1 with WinXP. However, since AS 3.5 is available free it shouldn't be a problem!
