I've just seen this little new on a French site
http://www.clubic.com/n/n5545.html

They say that AMD is going to release low-power CPU running at 333, 400 and 500 Mhz. But they don't say if they will be ARM compatible. Anyone have more infos. It look like a new price war is comming up.

EDIT: Just found this page http://news.com.com/2100-1040-877450.html it seem to be a MIPS processor... Not compatible with PPC 2002 :-(

Yeah, it probably won't be used in PocketPC's, but rather in other embeded devices like cell phones or even stuff like oil pipelines.

Yup. We never intended to say that AMD was making a "bad" move with the MIPS processor, just that as a Pocket PC site, it wasn't specifically interesting to us because we wouldn't see it in a Pocket PC anytime soon. :D
