Ok, I dove right in and proceeded to belly flop.

Got an Ipaq 3835, been using it since December.

Now I have a 3870 and an Ericsson T68 w/Voicestream/Istream.

Have phone using WAP w/Istream.

Here is the problem as it stands now.

I want all my data from the 3835 to be on the 3870. So I did a Backup/Restore. Using the Backup Utility onto an SD card. When I did this I lost all the Bluetooth Manager and the Bluetooth Radio Popup, since the 3835 config was written to the 3870. This is no good.

Hard reset got everything back.

Tried a Backup/Restore form Activsync. Same results.

So how would I get the info and data from the 3835 to the 3870 and keep the Bluetooth management features?

Use your PC to drag all of your documents from the 3835 to a "Backup" directory (on your desktop or something).

Then, sync the 3870. You should be able to use the Add/Remove programs feature in ActiveSync to reinstall all of your apps on your 3870, then simply drag the backup directory's contents onto the 3870.

It might take more work to organize your files and settings, but it won't inadvertantly erase applications.
