MS Outlook/Activesync lockup

I have a 548 and MS Outlook 2000. With Win '98 every time I would sync with Outlook open then take the 548 off the cradle Outlook would lock up AND I couldn't sync again. I'd have to reboot each time UGH!!

Now I've upgraded to Win XP. It's MUCH improved but occassionally I have a little of the same problem-just not as bad.
Anyone encountering this problem-and found out what the issue was/is?

Have you tried running scanpst.exe (do a search for it on your PC) - you may have a corrupt PST data file.
