<a href="http://www.online-tonight.com/">http://www.online-tonight.com/</a><br /><br />Two weeks ago was the big radio interview with David Lawrence. Pretty mixed bag after it was all said and done. I've only been on a radio show once before, and it's much different in person - when you see someone is talking, you're less likely in interrupt them. Not so with phone interviews. And it was a cruel radio joke to ask me about DRM with 10 seconds left in the show - oh the humanity of it all. ;-)<br /><br />I was on again last night, and it was a much more enjoyable experience - I spoke up more firmly and managed to get a few complete sentences in, although David didn't understand my CeBit train story - I guess you just had to be there. Ed and Dale can account for the surrealism of it all! We're walking fast, some people are running, general chaos as a few thousand people rush to get their train, and amidst it all there's a guy with a stuffed monkey <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/files/circus.mp3">playing this crazy circus music.</a><br /><br />If you like, you can download the WMA files to your Pocket PC for listening. Here's the blurb from the March 5th show:<br />"Jason Dunn of PocketPCThoughts.com. He's Canadian, eh? We talk iPaq vs. Whore-nada if the HP-Compaq merger happens, Mazingo vs. AvantGo and more. And heh...he said "biometric."<br /><a href="http://207.34.121.16/files/onlinetonight-mar5-p1.wma">Part 1</a>, <a href="http://207.34.121.16/files/onlinetonight-mar5-p2.wma">part 2</a>, <a href="http://207.34.121.16/files/onlinetonight-mar5-p3.wma">part 3</a>, <a href="http://207.34.121.16/files/onlinetonight-mar5-p4.wma">part 4</a>.<br /><br />Here's the blurb from the March 19th show:<br /><br />"Jason was at CeBit and Mobius, and he has some wild beer and sausage tales. He stayed outside of town and took the high speed train in. One day, he was rushing for the train, and a hurdy gurdy guy...I don't know. I don't get the story, but you listen and maybe you will."<br /><a href="http://207.34.121.16/files/onlinetonight-mar19-p1.wma">Part 1</a>, <a href="http://207.34.121.16/files/onlinetonight-mar19-p2.wma">part 2</a>, <a href="http://207.34.121.16/files/onlinetonight-mar19-p3.wma">part 3</a>, <a href="http://207.34.121.16/files/onlinetonight-mar19-p4.wma">part 4</a>.

Just as PocketPCThoughts is the first website I visit everytime I fire up my measily dial-up connection, Online-Tonight's first hour every Tuesday has become a ritual with me. Every Wed. or Thurs. I make a special trip to my parents house to use their cable access to download the .wma of the program in no time flat, then I sit back and listen to the biggest people in the PPC world.

*I* understood the train story but I guess I'm on a different psychic plane than Mr. Lawrence.

Great job Jason and I that you'll be able to be on even more regularly.

David Lawrence is a heel. He needs to get off his high horse about his
show. David, if you're reading, please note that I am not anonymous and I
welcome your feedback. If online tonight is so popular then why have I
only heard about it on pocketpcthoughts?

Also David, Canadian jokes are really old. If that's the best material you
can come up with, then it's no wonder I've not heard of your sad,
insignificant program.

Anyhow, you did a great job Jason.

I think there is a bug somewhere. When I used Mazingo to sync this web site, it started to download all four parts of the radio show..

Thats not correct is it?

Hmm - I'm not sure. Mazingo might be set to spider all the content...I don't know of any way to exclude certain files from being included.

Wow, a guy with a stuffed monkey playing crazy circus music?!? Did you all gather around him and start doing a jig? Well, that's what I would have done...

Heh, I just listened to the little spiel about the train and monkey. *I* thought it was funny. Yeah, David didn't really get it...
Ha! Ha! This is great:
David: "Is that it?"
Jason: "Sure..."
That's pretty funny.

The whole monkey thing was pretty funny.

Jason, why didn't you mention the fake Clie thing? I thought that would have been something David could sink his teeth into.

Good question! I didn't get much of a chance to talk about what I saw at CeBit - he asked about phones, so we went down that path for a minute, and never got to talk about PDAs, the LOOX, etc. Oh well. :-)

Hi Jason,
some weeks ago there was also a link to a video file on the front page. I couldn't sync until the posting got off the front page. Isn't there a possibility to avoid this. I can't live without reading Pocket PC Thoughts while commuting.
thnx, markus

Hi Jason
You dindnt get much of a chance to say your thing. I guess its just the style of some American radio.

I just thought it was cool that I was listening to an American radio show on my iPAQ while driving around down here in Australia.

You did good :)
