F-Secure is a well established security services and products firm and now they are expanding into the mobile devices market as well. Recently they announced cooperative agreements with Compaq and Hewlett-Packard. The turn came to Fujitsu a couple of days ago. According to the press release F-Secure will provide data protection for the new Pocket LOOX 600 handhelds.

"With Compaq Computer, F-Secure introduced the next generation of Pocket PC content encryption products. F-Secure is collaborating with Hewlett-Packard to enhance the security of HP Jornada Pocket PC devices. ... In 2001 F-Secure announced that it has signed a software license and distribution agreement with Compaq Computer Corporation to provide data protection for the new Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3800 Series handheld PC. Compaq is distributing F-Secure FileCrypto for Pocket PC Personal Edition content encryption product as part of the standard package on all Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3800 models."

I downloaded and installed the trial version of F-Secure FileCrypto for Pocket PC Enterprise Edition. Mostly just to bring you this screen shot (what we don't do for you guys!), but I will keep it during the trial period and see if I like it.

More information can be found on F-Secure's site.
