Hitachi unveiling their new XScale powered PPC.

Sweet things ahead. Those companies still looking to release SA1110 units in the next 6 months, better start thinking hard about whether or not that is still feasible!

Good:
IE 5.5!
Built in 802.11b
Small and light

Bad:
Umm.. where are the buttons and speaker/mike?
No CF - although an adapter will be made available.
Enterprise and Japan only (for now).

I worry about this device getting to the US though. It seems kind of like a bare-bones PDA like the Casio BE-300, which if it is priced right, is good. I like the look of CE.NET on it. I feel like this could probably compete well aginst the next generation Palm OS device due to its (likely) low price and organizer style features but with a more robust core.
