Hey all. This is for all the Jornada 525 users out there like myself. (And other people looking for good freeware as well) It's just a small list of some of my favorite freeware and a couple of other great programs, all compatible with the 525.

-games-

http://ce.syntact.fi/snails/ - Snails. Currently the best game on the Jornada 525. It's not free, but there's a superb demo and it's cheap to register.

http://ppcsg.org/links.php?node=01/03/21/4674028 - A link list of 110 freeware pocket games, a good deal of which work great with Jornada.

http://www.iomogu.de/iomogudownload4ce.htm - Iomogu, a great freeware puzzle type game. Lots of fun, and a color version coming shortly.

http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&platformId=2&productType=2&productId=16543&sectionId=0&catalog=1 - Incredible freeware maze generator.

http://www.lokasoft.nl/uk/pocket_chesspartner.htm - Best chess program I've seen for the Pocket PC. Not free, but a really great demo with no time limit.

http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&platformId=2&productType=2&productId=10164&sectionId=0&catalog=1 - Wonderful freeware Yahtzee clone. One player, one player vs CPU, and two player support with great graphics.

http://www.cnstarsoft.com/ - Haven't checked out the rest of these, but FreeMine is great! A pixel perfect clone of the windows Minesweeper. I've tried several clones, and this is by far the best I've seen. freeware.

http://www.worldlingo.com/wl/Translate?wl_lp=JA-EN&wl_fl=2&wl_url=http://www.geocities.co.jp/Stylish/2068/yame.html&wl_g_table=-3 - YameCE. The greatest NES emulator I know of. Even better than Pocket NES. Also emulates a few other systems, but I haven't tried them. free

-apps-

http://www.physics.ucla.edu/~grosenth/c_main.html - JWPce If you're at all interested in Japanese, this is -THE- program to have. It's also free, so get both the desktop and the Pocket PC edition. Incredible software... not only for the word processor, but for the built in dictionary!

http://www.gigabar.com/ - Pretty cool, and free, but it doesn't work well with some full screen apps.

http://www.snoopsoft.com/pocketpc/ - Great product, I'd hate to run my Jornada without it. I use the free demo, it's a little old... but so is the Jornada, so it doesn't really matter.

http://www.dex-plor.com/ - The demo works great.

Well, I Hope there's a few pieces of software in that list that you will enjoy. If you know anything good I've left out or have any Jornada tips, reply or email me. Good luck 525 owners.
