The beta drivers were a little flaky, so I'm happy to see them releasing a final version. So what's the verdict? Are these any better? Source: Michael Gorden

Great news! Now all I have to do is get one of those Symbol cards. :-)

Has anyone tried to install these drivers without having the Symbol card, so as to fix the problem with the D-Link CF card keeping a Pocket PC turned on after the midnight power-up, thus draining the battery until it goes dead?

I'm asking because a previous post (months ago) mentioned that a user noticed that the Symbol driver didnt have that problem, even though the user had a D-Link CF card.

I'm already using this newest driver version (3.24) for some time and haven't seen an error since! The only thing I can't get to work is WEP encryption, but this might be caused by my Access Point as well.

I've been using these drivers too for a while and haven't had a problem connecting to either the Lucent wireless access point at work or my D-Link wireless router at home. Both of these are using 40-bit WEP.

Only thing I find is that for some reason, the IP address obtained from DHCP isn't displayed in the Symbol Setup program any more (instead it just shows 0.0.0.0). I didn't have this problem with the beta....
