<p>When Opera was first released for Windows Mobile, I played with it for a while, but didn't see enough value to offset the $30 price tag. It was a nice experience and the browser was fast, but I didnt' see the need to put out some hard earned cash just for that. IE Mobile was good enough for my needs anyway. Opera Mobile 9.5 has changed all that, or at least it looks like it will. This is loaded with helpful features and puts IE Mobile to shame. Check out this video and see all the coolness that Opera Mobile 9.5 has to offer. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><div><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x49rb9" width="420" height="253" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed><br /><font size="1">Source:</font> <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x49rb9_opera-mobile-95_tech"><em><font size="1">Opera Mobile 9.5</font></em></a><em><font size="1">Uploaded by </font></em><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/operasoftware"><em><font size="1">operasoftware</font></em></a></div><br />What's Microsoft been doing the last couple years? It's not like the public hasn't been crying for tabbed support, faster loading, wider HTML support, and so much more. All we've seen is a little support for Ajax added. <br /><br />Ah, well... At least IE Mobile isn't alone in the &quot;left to rot on the side of the road&quot; category. Windows Media Player is right there along side it. :-(<p>&nbsp;</p>

Wow - that's impressive! I couldn't find a beta release date. Have you heard anything?

Very cool looking - I tend not to install other browsers, but if and when I finally get my unlimited data plan back, I'll be all over this like a fat kid on a cookie. :D

[and, yes, it's really, really sad how little IE Mobile has evolved...:(]

WOW, it looks almost as good as another un-named browser... :D

Engadaget mentioned something like, 14th Feb? Or was it end Feb? Either way I'm hoping there's a Beta for Smartphones!

I think that's the "World Premiere" on Feb 11 (http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/05/video-opera-mobile-9-5-redesign-is-lickity-quick-slick/). I assume they will have SP support?

Yes, it looks very nice, but I'll believe it when I see it. keep in mind that Opera went through the same song-and-dance last year in announcing Opera Mobile 9 and put a big web 2.0-ish splash on their website saying Opera mobile 9 was coming soon. Then nothing. So they issued a press release and a video. Big whoop - ever try to browse the web with a press release? Even PIE is better than vaporware, even if the latter looks pretty.
