The update adds BDMV authoring and playback, improved file encoding speed and support for Mini HD DVD video discs. Nero 8 is now certified for authoring and playback of Blu-Ray Disc video titles and supports advanced interactive features on Blu-Ray and HD DVD movies. This update also adds the ability to burn HD DVD video onto standard DVD-R/RW discs.
