ABIT has given TechwareLabs their wireless music solution named the "AirPace". The AirPace is a Wireless Audio Device with built in Access Point,” gives you the ability to send audio from your PC through the AirPace wireless access point to your home entertainment system or similar device. The AirPace is Abits competitor to Linksys’ audio bridge."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/cgg-airpace-07262007.gif" /><br /><br />I'm a little less impressed than the reviewer. A Zune or iPod with a dock and remote will give you a better user experience since you will get a display, which from the review it appears that this unit lacks. If your collection is larger than what a portable player will hold and if you have a Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation3, or Microsoft Xbox 360, you can use Orb and do this for free. Or, you could just use an actual computer rather than an overpriced, one-trick pony.

Agreed. I have my Living room TV hooked up to my Media Center computer which is upstairs. I used to use it all the time to listen to music. Now I only use it to watch stuff that I recorded on the Media Center (as opposed to the cable DVR).
Instead I always use my Zune. It just plugs in, has a great interface and I don't have to worry about the start up time for the computer and the occasional delays from the remote. Every once and a while something would go wrong with the computer and I would have to race upstairs to see what was going on and fix it. Not so with the Zune.

I do the same with my Zune. With the dock/AV cable/remote, it is a really nice interface.

there are so many solutions now that these things are easily pushed back to the "less features and less bang for your buck" method of listening to your music in remote locations.
If you are like me and most of your online music (I of course have it all backed up accross a few dvd's) on a HD based music player, that player is the best way. However if its on a network storage unit or a computer, you can opt for stand alone units like this, a laptop or pc, or what I liked to do, use my old PDA. Currently I still use my pda as a wireless wifi radio receiver. Plenty of feature packed audio player programs and its slim size and bigger screen then most DAPs make it a more ideal device for streaming music to your living room over wifi.
