I've been pretty happy with it, but know that it does take a bit of work to get it tweaked to do exactly what you want. Regardless, this is a great price for a great remote. It is Amazon's Gold Box deal for today, so it could sell out at any time, so if you are interested, don't delay.

WOW! 8O That's a great deal. I love my 676. I think I'm going to order one so that I have a backup...

How does this compare to the newer models with the color screens? Is it easy enough to use by touch?

You'll probably look at the buttons for the macros and such, but for routine operation, it is pretty easy without looking. When I purchased this model about a year ago, I carefully compared the button layouts of the different models. This one had the best placement of the volume and channel up/down keys, which are the most common ones I use, so that made my decision for me. I did find that it took a little work to tweak it just right, but I read in the Amazon forums that they have upgraded the web interface making it easier to use, so I might need to hook it up again to adjust a few settings.

Thanks for the info and the heads-up! I bought two, one for my dad who helped out a TON with my new house, and one for me (we can't find the remote for the TV).
