We created Jewelboxing to allow individuals to produce a short-run of high-end packages and to give them the freedom to concentrate on the most important part of the job, the creative. We've chosen the Super Jewel Box™ King and Standard cases, created complementary components of the highest quality and made precise design templates for virtually all major design and publishing software programs. Then, we put it all together so it’s easy and affordable for individuals to create movie and music-sized disc packages that exceed the look and feel of those produced commercially."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/jd-jewelboxing.jpg" /><br /><br />I care about quality in everything I do - if I can't do something well, I tend not to want to do it at all. On the other hand, when I do commit to doing something, I try to pull out all the stops and excel at it. It never made sense to me that I'd spend hours upon hours editing photos and videos for a wedding or other project, then end up burning it to a DVD and writing on it with a Sharpie marker. I've always cared about the packaging a great deal. The presentation of your content matters almost as much as the content itself - both have to be high-quality for people to perceive your work as being excellent.<br /><br />All that being said, when I saw the Web page for Jewelboxing I thought "Aha, here are some like-minded individuals!". I haven't tried the product myself, but everything about their products scream quality so I'm sure the results would be worth it. If you want to take your project to the next level, this is worth taking a look at.

I've used them for a number of years and the cd cases still floor my customers. They are great to work with and the templates which are available in every publisher type format really help in the process.

These type of cases are unique here in the US, so most people are just amazed at how they look and open. The paper insert are very high quality and are precut so well that it doesn't take much punch them out. Combined with some creative design and you have a winning project that doesn't look like it was created by someone at home.

One trick I did learn was that when putting the cover in (it's a two-fold design for the inside of the case) use scrapbooking tape, especially the runner tape type. This creates a very solid seal, rather than the open birthday card approach.

Now if only I could have a lightscribe burner that creates multiple color cd/dvd covers.
