While these are undoubtedly nice monitors, many people have a few concerns with them. One of the major problems is that they require a dual-link DVI connection, so they essentially require a higher end graphics card than what many people have. Hooking them up to a notebook is also generally out of the question, with a few exceptions. They are also quite large, but with their 2560x1600 native resolution they still have a very fine pixel pitch. Some will think that's a good thing, while those who are more visually challenged [Ed: raises hand] might prefer a slightly lower native resolution."

I have had two 20/21" LCDs for a really long time now and have often wanted to switch to two 24" monitors just to increase the desktop real estate, and so that I can pretend to do more work. But then I look at a 30" screen and think about how much more fun it would be to have just one of those. I think the 27" LCD may be just small enough to have two on one's desk and still have space left for the keyboard and mouse. :) Of course, the screen I truly want is that ViewSonic VP2290b widescreen 22.2" digital LCD that can do 3840x2400. Yes, two of those please.
