As detailed in the Director of Product Development's latest blog entry, Velocity Micro is now shipping systems that include ATI's Digital Cable Tuner—a product we first previewed at CES back in January."</i><br /><br />This is good news, but when do we get to purchase ATI's Digital Cable Tuner separately? My other question: just how had is support from cable providers like Time Warner going to be when you lease a CableCard and can't get it to work with your PC right out of the box? There are going to be alot of headaches in the beginning. Don't forget that IPTV, and Switched Digital Video are rolling out later this year. CableCard could become a footnote in the annals of television history by 2008.

I read somewhere (I can't recall where) that the ATI card will not be sold separately and will only be available as part of a whole system. I sure hope that's not true.
