No WONDER Time Warner's HD lineup sucks. In a world run by accountants and lawyers, the consumer is never going to get what they want. And to think I'm paying $80 a month for this rubbish. No more. I've got two HD antennas on order, and when they get here, I'm cancelling my Time Warner subscription. Enough is enough.

I had 0 luck with HD antenna even though they broadcast HD in my area. Friends have reported similar problems. If they can get one, it is like the old days of positioning the rabbit ears to get a channel. I don't really want to go through that every time I want to change channels.

I'm hoping I'll have a bit more luck, as I'm within 5 miles of the transmitters in Manhattan, and have pretty clear line of sight from my rooftop. I've requested a couple antennas from Winegard, one indoor and one outdoor, and I'm optimistic that I'll be able to pull in a pretty strong signal.
Almost anything I can get on cable I can either get OTA, iTunes, or Xbox Live Video Marketplace. The only channels I'll really miss are TLC, Discovery, and the Food Network. Even those I don't watch much.

Great Link. I totally agree that TWC is awful. I have TWC in Kansas City and am hoping for an alternative some day soon.
