They haven't quite got everything fixed, but supposedly they're working on it.

Apple is actively working with Microsoft...

It's not everyday you see that in black and white.

Alright, well I've installed it, and it wasn't exactly...smooth. Had to manually shut down explorer.exe in task manager, then hit ctrl-alt-delete to restart the PC. Oy. Then on reboot it wouldn't boot into Vista while the iPod was docked.

Keep trying Apple. You haven't quite got it right yet.

No issues with the upgrade here. I downloaded it, ran it, it offered to open iTunes, and I docked the iPod and synchronized.

I think it's time for a PC version rewrite of iTunes...it is so freaking sluggish and not a smooth experience. The only smooth thing is the syncing of play counts, ratings, songs, etc, but the interface sucks. Or maybe I'll just switch to Mac to have a smooth iTunes experience, that's what Apple wants, right?

Yeah, ever since 7.0.0 came out, the experience has been pretty crappy. My latest install on Vista is sloooooow. They really need to hire some coders that are experts at the Windows backend, particularly Vista. Something's broken.

Sorry about the late reply

I am running Vista.
