edit an audio CD to wav or mp3

Is there software that allows one to edit an audio CD track directly, rather
than encurring the loss of first converting it to a wav or mp3 or other
analog file format?

No, I'm not aware of any software that will do that - but to be clear, if you rip a CD into WAV format, there's absolutely zero data loss and it's still purely digital. It's onloy when you rip to MP3 that you get data loss.
