I bought my wife an iPod for Christmas, so when I saw this product I knew she'd love it - Saunders also sent me their four-pack Shuffle Aluminium Accents, which makes the Shuffle into a fashionable accessory to whatever Lululemon outfit my wife happens to have on. The product is basically a sleeve that slides over the iPod Shuffle to provide protection - lined with Neoprene, they slide on smoothly and easily, which is always a challenge with products like this. The cases are 100% anodized aluminium: after being in use five days a week for nearly a month, none show any wear, so they're tough. Each includes a free StuffBak Loss Protection Service label, which is a nice bonus for a product as mobile as the Shuffle.<!>

The product is sold in two configurations: a four pack ($19.95) or individually ($9.95 each). The four pack comes in, no surprise, four different colours: red, green, blue and pink. The colours are pleasing and vibrant. The only negative I can point to with this product is that you can't connect the Shuffle with the docking cradle with the sleeve on it. If the sleeves weren't so fast and easy to remove, this would be an irritation, but thankfully it's not. All in all, this is a great product for Shuffle owners looking to protect their Shuffle from damage and add some expression through colour to their device.

Jason Dunn owns and operates Thoughts Media Inc., a company dedicated to creating the best in online communities. He wonders why is aluminum also spelled aluminium? Oh, it's a USA/UK thing.

I'm gonna have to grab me one of those.

Hey, if she's into the shuffle and doesn't want to take it out of the plastic protector thingy to sync it, she may want to try this:

I'm gonna grab a couple of 'em... Figure it can't hurt to have one in my bag and one in the office....
