Its unique scrolling format provides you with access to unlimited news headlines, photos, articles and forums while keeping itself neatly out of the way so you can actually get on with your day. RSS feeds with thumbnails and full-size images are displayed right in the ticker, so instead of clicking on a text link for "Giants Win Superbowl LX", you can click on a photo of the winning touchdown! RSS feeds that don't have thumbnails will be displayed as text links along with a snapshot of the website from where the feed originated. Other newsreaders simply provide you with either an email-like experience or a full-blown webpage displays only a few stories at once. With MediaTicker, news (and a whole lot more) comes to you, so make MediaTicker your newsreader today!"

I just tried out MediaTicker 2 and I was quite impressed. I was initially just expecting it to be a photo browser but it turned to be a really nice RSS reader for photo blogs. However, I just don't like the concept of a ticker like this product offers. One of the most annoying features that I find on the web are ads (or legitimate text on a page) that scroll across the screen. And unfortunately this ticker brings to to the desktop. However, I can see this being useful for all the Wall Street types amongst us. :)
