DMT, I thank you! (And Google's inurl: (http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=20&hl=en&c2coff=1&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&hs=pEN&q=inurl%3Adigitalmediathoughts.com+exif+date&btnG=Search&meta=) search*)
For a multitude of reasons I have a whole heap of photos where the file date doesn't match the date the picture was taken. It never used to be an issue but now I'm rebuilding the gallery on my website (http://www.thewestring.co.uk) I need the date to be correct. (Previously photos had been uploaded in a timely manner, but then 1&1 had a server crash and failed to produce a backup! Yes, I am looking into other hosting options.) So, I googled for some software to help me and obviously got a lot of results! That's when I had the brainwave and searched this forum :D and found that "Mark from Canada" in this thread (http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9240&sid=f5ef495b60042f6959ce16c7da1e5e75) had the answer. I've given Exifer (http://www.friedemann-schmidt.com/software/exifer/) a whirl and it has successfully set my file date to equal the exif last modified date. :D
*Yeah, I know I could have come here and searched, but I was in Google, and heck, I'm a bit of a wannabe geek!
