<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.bravia-advert.com/paint/thead/' target='_blank'>http://www.bravia-advert.com/paint/thead/</a><br /><br /></div><i>"Our latest TV ad - featuring massive paint explosions - took 10 days and 250 people to film. Huge quantities of paint were needed to accomplish this, which had to be delivered in 1 tonne trucks and mixed on-site by 20 people. The effect was stunning, but afterwards a major clean-up operation was required to clear away all that paint! The cleaning took 5 days and 60 people. Thankfully, the use of a special water-based paint made it easy to scrape-up once the water had evaporated. Keeping everyone safe was also an important factor. A special kind of non-toxic paint was used that is safe enough to drink (it contains the same thickeners that are sometimes used in soups). It was also completely harmless to the skin."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/images/sony-bravia-ad.jpg" /><br /><br />When you see things like this now, you just assume it's all computer-generated. When I watched this knowing it was really done, I was blown away - great ad! It's reassuring to me to know that Apple doesn't have the only creative ad agency on the whole planet under contract... ;-) Check it out! [Quicktime required]

That's some serious creativity! I love it! Much better than two guys standing in front of a while background, while one makes fun of the other.

I was blown away - great ad!

Awesome concept. Excellent use of muliple cameras. I was in complete agreement with you, Jason, until the moment a manic clown danced across the screen... A clown, across a school yard exploding in paint. Who's the genius who decided to make that call, and in the process ruined a perfectly awesome idea? What were they thinking? :drinking:

Hopefully the 30 sec ad features no ridiculous clown.

So, anyone have a Bravia set yet?

Non toxic paint.

Interesting.

One thing many people don't know is, sodium caseinate used non-dairy creamers is the same base used in some tempra poster paints.

LOL. So far, I'm the only one who says, Kill the Clown.

Didn't it seem to absolutely not fit, whatsoever? Unless the clown is some sort of Sony mascot. :silly:

Which, come to think of it, might explain a few things. :P
