It's obvious if you actually only want an EOS 5D and nothing else, you're actually better off buying both the 5D and the 75-300 since, because the 75-300 will cost you under $150, you'll end up paying less for the two than for the 5D alone - plus you can always sell the lens."</i><br /><br />This seems like a great deal if you are in the market for a high-ish end DSLR. When I tried out the 5D about a year ago, it was absolutely amazing. However, I am still quite satisfied with my EOS 10D so I personally don't think it is time to upgrade, especially since the 5D (even after the $600 rebate) will cost around $2K.
