Know what that is? It's probably one of the most effective methods I've seen to promote video clips: the bottom section of MSN Messenger/Windows Live Messenger alternates between ads and a promo zone for MSN Video. Many people, myself included, leave their IM list open so it's easier to access contacts, and this has the effect of exposing the user to a new video they can watch every time they glance over at the list. I find myself watching 8-12 minutes of videos throughout the day, mostly interviews with movie stars and movie trailers. Once I'm into the MSN Video zone though, I tend to consume a few top news stories as well. How else would I have discovered this gem (http://video.sympatico.msn.com/v/en-ca/v.htm?g=fa8c7f29-becb-483d-9aba-8f121c4e886d&f=imbot_en-ca&fg=rss), or this one (http://g.msn.com/0VD0/37/81?i=c6bdefce-87c6-4f2b-bc89-b5f683b49ded&&CM=email&CE=flash )?
